How do I manually add the app to my store?

If you require the app to be manually installed within your store, you can do so by adding a few script tags to your theme.

To add it to your store, find the spot within your theme (usually somewhere between{' '}

How do I use this app?

The only action required to start using Prime Promotions is to create a promotion. Promotions can manifest in many ways on your storefront, and they are created by following these steps:

  1. Click Create promotion under the Promotions tab
  2. Select a promotion type
  3. Fill out the promotion details and click Save promotion

Once a promotion is created you can view it on your store. Depending on the type of promotion created, it may appear in different places.

What features does this app include?

Why aren't my promotions showing on my storefront?

There are many possible reasons for why promotions do not show up as intended. Though this is not a comprehensive list, here's a list of some common and easily fixable scenarios:

The promotion is disabled All promotion features start off as disabled by default. If this is the case for you, please click on the problem promotion found under the Promotions tab and then click the Enable button for the desired feature.

The app is disabled Under the Settings tab, please ensure the App settings section says "The app is currently enabled", and click the Enable button if it doesn't.

The maximum amount of monthly impressions has been reached for your plan One impression is used every time at least one promotion is displayed on your storefront (multiple promotions and/or instances of promotions displayed on a page still consume only one impression). Once the max amount of impressions has been reached for your plan Prime Promotions stops showing promotions. Impressions reset on the 1st of every month, or they can be increased by upgrading your plan under the Settings tab.

The conditions to show the promotion were not met Certain promotions display only under certain conditions. For example, a promotion can be set to show only for certain products, and if the product does not match the specified product then the promotion will not render. Please check your promotion configurations to ensure they are doing what you intend. Configurations can be checked by clicking on the desired promotion under the list of promotions under the Promotions tab.

The app isn't working as intended due to a bug Bugs often appear during developing apps and sometimes they go unnoticed due to a lack of testing. If a bug may be the cause of your problems please contact us at with the general details surrounding the event, the actions you took, your expected result, and the actual result of your actions, along with a screenshot if possible, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible with an answer.

What are impressions?

An impression is our unit of measurement used to determine how many times the app has been used on a merchant's storefront. One impression is used everytime a page on your storefront loads with at least one promotion (muliple promotions and/or instances of a promotion displayed on a page still only counts as one impression). Impression counts reset to 0 on the 1st of every month.

Every plan has a set number of impressions. As traffic to your store increases our cost of supporting it also increases. If you find your needs requiring more impressions, we recommend purchasing one of our paid plans to increase the amount of allowed monthly impressions.

What happens when I have more than one of the same type of promotion?

We currently offer 3 categories of promotions - banners, product labels, and product page promotions. You can create as many promotions of any category as you wish. If there are two overlapping promotions the app will attempt to use the one that was updated last.

We recommend updating or deleting promotions from time to time to avoid unintentionally applying old promotions on a products with 2+ promotions applied to them.

How is time saved and displayed with countdown timers?

Dates and times used by all countdown timers in our apps are saved using UTC but displayed based on your computer's determined timezone. This means that timezone conversions are done automatically on your storefront and if you set a promotion to end at 12:00PM it will end at 12:00PM.

How do I select a more specific color for my promotions?

Some of our promotions have the option to select colors for fonts and backgrounds. If none of the preset colors can accommodate your needs, you can select from a far greater selection using an online color picker like that from . Once you've selected your desired color you can copy and paste the hex code or RGB values into our color picker which will then save your selection.
